Our story and team.

Our History

In 2021, NFTy Arcade began as a small group of people interested in GameFi. Web3's cutting-edge technology and vibrant community immediately grabbed our attention. However, we quickly realized there was a large barrier of entry into gaming: capital. We set out to create a guild that would connect investors to players, and allow both to benefit.

Here's how it worked: investors lent out NFT gaming assets from Axie Infinity and Splinterlands, and scholars around the globe borrowed those assets to win in-game rewards. The rewards were split between the lender and the borrower. Our investors enjoyed passive income, and our scholars in developing countries were able to earn a living. Everything was great - our players were happy, we were making profits from managing accounts for investors, and our investors were making their ROIs.

The crypto market crash in Summer 2022 gave us a wake-up call. While trying to provide a steady income for our scholars and deliver on projected ROIs for investors, we identified the problem we've always wanted to solve. Gamers have no way to easily onboard themselves into Web3 games and ecosystems, and investors have no way to seamlessly onboard their capital.

Thanks to the hard work of our team, we are proud to drop the first public iteration of our software on October 7th. Our platform has full functionality for gamers and investors in the game Splinterlands. It's designed to give users full asset visibility, performance, and earning metrics, along with a asset marketplace structured through the lender's terms.

This is a scaleable solution. This is a game-agnostic solution. We are chatting with games all over metaverse of Web3, and getting them queued up to plug into the arcade. We will be the software solution and central station for gamers and investors worldwide to discover, onboard, and participate in Web3 gaming at the highest levels.

Team Bios

Jacob Steele, Developer Jacob is a software developer at NFTy Arcade – helping bring the team's vision to life through web3 technology. Jacob is currently pursuing a computer science degree at Brigham Young University and is an avid gamer.

Jared Rhodes, VP of Product Jared got his start studying Genetics and Biotechnology at University. Working in the hard sciences and on the front lines of discovery spurred his fascination with understanding the relationship between problems and solutions. This has naturally progressed throughout his career to land him in roles primarily engaged with customer experience, research, innovation, and design - typically in the Product or R&D departments. Jared has worked in developing physical, business, and service-based products including the processes to support the customer's experience using the product and mechanics for gathering feedback and continual improvement. Jared's experience spans a range of industries from education to social venture to venture capital to crypto/Web 3, and of course, technology. In addition to being a founding team member of NFTy Arcade, Jared's role at the company is as the Product Lead and he is passionate about bringing his innovation and design expertise into the world of blockchain gaming to impact gamers and digital asset owners around the world to improve their experience and their lives through asset ownership and gaming!
